Dynamic Actions - How to fix custom lightning quick actions visibility issue on feed tracking enabled Case?

Recently, I came to know through my colleague that the custom lightning quick actions will not be displayed on the standard highlights panel when we enable feed tracking on Case object. These custom quick actions will be moved to the chatter feed actions layout(see image 1) which is weird to see (I wonder why salesforce implemented it this way). Anyway, they have released beta version of dynamic actions as part of Winter'21 release to solve this issue.

When feed tracking is enabled for Case object, the custom quick action is not showing in the highlights panel, but in the feed actions layout.

To fix the issue, edit the lightning record page and click on the highlights panel and we will see Enable dynamic actions checkbox as shown below.

Select the Enable dynamic actions checkbox. Once we select this option, we can see that all quick actions from the highlights panel will be disappeared. Now, click on 'Add Action' button and select the quick actions we wanted to add. We can set the visibility of the quick actions based on the conditions we want.

Once we select the quick actions from dynamic actions section, they will appear on the highlights panel.

Now, we see the custom quick action on the highlights panel as we wanted. But we see it on the feed actions layout as well. Next step is to remove it from the feed actions layout.

Go to the corresponding page layout, and remove the custom quick actions from 'Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions' section. Save the page layout and go back to the Case record and refresh the page, we can see what we wanted.

Here, we go! The result we wanted.

PS: Thanks to my colleague for bringing this to me and making me learn new thing today! Keep learning and keep sharing! Happy Coding!
